Hall of Champions

Mr. Big
12 yr. old Percheron.
Loves peppermints. Truly a gentle giant. He used to pull carriages at the West End.
Blaze
8 yr. old American Miniature
He is a favorite among our driving students and just the right size for the little folks to groom.
Chip
16 yr. old Quarter Horse
Chip is on loan to RU from Doreen Desborough. Chip, a retired roping horse, exemplifies everything that makes the Quarter Horse a favorite with so many people. His large size and substantial bone make him perfect for our adult riders. He is so very patient and kind
Fluffy -
25 yr. old grey Welsh mare. This little bundle of white hair and love is a retired show pony. She shows our young riders all the right moves.
Gunner -
6 yr. old bay Paint gelding. Gunner joined the program in early 2007. He is a people horse and love to be where the action is. Thanks, Denton Benefit League for the opportunity to purchase Gunner!
Gus
(whose "real" name is Sum Kinda Wonderful) is a 17 year old Paint mare, who came to us through Kelly Frost. She is an APHA Superior Western Pleasure horse who now is doing a superior job at RU as a therapeutic riding horse. She loves to go to the horse shows almost as much as she loves all of the attention she gets at RU. She offers us the best of both worlds for our students.
Hi Ho
15 yr. old Welsh pony
Hi Ho loves kids and attention!!! He was our 2002 RU Horse of the Year.

Honey
on loan from Linda Tucker, Magnolia, AR 12 yr. old paint palomino-overo mare. Like the southern belles of old, this fair haired girl needs to keep out of the sun.
